Privacy Policy

• Free preliminary analysis: property address, utility provider, roof estimate, and monthly bill amount. No account, no signup.
• Paid detailed report ($79): name, email, phone, and your 12 months of electric usage (kWh and dollars per month).
• Installer matching ($149): everything above, plus permission to share your contact info with up to 2–3 matched Illinois installers.
• Payment: processed by Stripe. We never see your card number — Stripe handles it directly.

Address and roof data go to NREL's free PVWatts API for solar production estimates. Utility data drives your financial projection. Contact info is used to email you your report, send your dashboard link, and (for $149 customers) share with the matched installers you choose to work with.

• Matched installers ($149 tier only): we share your name, email, phone, address, system size, and consumption profile so they can quote your project. You opt into this when you choose the matching tier.
• Service providers: Supabase (database hosting, US region), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), NREL (PVWatts API — anonymous lat/lon only, no PII).
• We do not sell, broker, or syndicate your data to anyone outside this flow.

Your records are kept indefinitely so you can revisit your report later. Email solar@aurainsightenergy.com from your account email and we'll delete your record within 7 days.

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct anything that's wrong, or ask us to delete it. Illinois residents have additional rights under state law. The easiest path for all of these is the email address above.

Data is encrypted at rest (Supabase managed encryption) and in transit (HTTPS). Access tokens for your dashboard are account-specific and live in URLs we email to you — treat those links like passwords.

Material changes are dated above and emailed to customers with active records. Visit this page anytime for the current version.
