Report + matching

Residential

Most homeowners pick the $149 tier — the detailed report plus 2–3 vetted IL installers, with quotes routed through the platform so you compare on the same terms. Federal residential ITC ended Dec 31, 2025 (OBBBA, Section 25D), so your incentive stack is Illinois Shines RECs, $300/kW DG Rebate, Smart Solar Billing, and property + sales tax exemptions. The report breaks down each line item with sources.

Commercial buildings

Commercial properties keep the Federal Section 48 ITC at 30% through 2027, plus MACRS bonus depreciation in the first year. The same $79 / $149 tiers apply — choose Commercial in the analysis form and we'll size for industrial roof loads, apply commercial-grade IL Shines block values, and route to installers experienced with commercial-scale projects (3–50 kW range).

FAQ — short version

What's actually different between free and $79?
The free preliminary uses Illinois-average production and a single bill estimate; the $79 detailed report uses site-specific NREL irradiance and your real 12-month usage, then re-runs the financials. It also includes a PDF for sharing with your installer or financial planner.
What does $149 add that $79 doesn't?
A 30-minute consult with our team and automated matching with 2–3 vetted Illinois installers ranked by proximity, capacity, and pricing fit. You contract directly with the installer you choose — we don't broker the deal.
Refunds?
Case-by-case within 14 days of purchase if we materially failed to deliver. See Terms.
Do you charge installers?
Installers pay a 5–10% commission (each picks their own rate at signup) only after a contract closes. No upfront fees, no per-lead charges.
